just for the record. I installed my 912UL last October and it came supplied
with the blue hose oil line. Like the Hawk said, it takes a bunch of effort
to put on and you gotta cut it off. But ---- it still came with clamps. I
have had trouble with clamps on auto add on trans coolers. The clamps like
to slide loose but that is because the fittings are not specific to the hose
and you need to add a little something to keep them on sometimes. Pressure
in hoses can do funny stuff. I have had trouble with my exhaust clamps, the
EGT sending units on the pipes. I had to safety wire them around and back
to hold them on. So -- there seems to be a time where the extra wire is
handy to use. Other than that, water lines just need a little checking
occasionally. Need re-tightening after initial hot run up and max cool
down. ALL hoses, especially on cars need to be retightened less they leak
when they get cold. Last of my .02 cents. Ted Cowan, Alabama. See ya all
at Homecoming!!!!!!
