If you are a registered owner of Zenith plans, you can log into the builders area and download a PDF containing pictures and drawings of the new 650 canopy latch system that was added on Thursday. Go to "Click here for important notices and other building and flying information."

I like the original design. When I latch my canopy down there is no doubt it is there to stay. Two clicks on each side just like a car door. My home-made opener is very slim and has to rotate about 50 degrees before it even starts to release the latches. It is mounted forward and must be rotated up so there is not much chance of an accidental opening.
