Countersink is on it's way to Pascal. By the way, I had my brothers shop punch out some brackets to hold the front belts up to the canopy when not in use. Pics attached. They're stainless. I can punch out any quantity, so for postage and $5.... let me know.
Plan is to micro-balloon 2 nutplates into the canopy.

I would be interested in seeing how they turn out for you so take pictures.

I should get Lew's list around the same time I receive the CS so as soon as I have both I mail it off to Charles.
Thanks for sending out the CS.

We tried to design them in such a way as to do the job, but not to be a head openner should the unexpected happen.... turbulence or a crash.

I was going to slip one in the package... guess I should have. Not trying to make money here, just trying to maximize the benefit of having a shop that produce just about anything.
Will take pics when it's installed. Should be this week.

You might want to consider bending the tips of the bracket up so that the metal does not clamp the belt there. If the metal clamps the belt you may abrade the belt material against the fiberglass each time you replace the belt on the bracket.

I don't have my calipers with me, but we left .25" for the belts with just a slight bend upward on the ends to hold the belts. Can't see where there would be any clamping. And the parts were tumbled, so there are no burrs to create any fraying. Where you maybe thinking that the center section of the bracket was not flush with the top of the canopy?

After deferring enough times the countersink arrived (Thanks Don!) and at the perfect time too, used (still seems to have life left in the countersink) holding off until I receive the updated list with Labels from Lew to send to Charles Usery.

Thanks Lew for leading this effort, sure seems a shame to buy a countersink and use it for two holes so this shipping around the country is a great effort.
