Russ K:
I use EAA indorsed aircraft insurance. Global, I think.
How good are they? Don't know. Have not had a claim with them since I
dropped AVEMCO some years ago. Or was it AVEMCO dropping experimentals???
I think that was the way it was.
I pay 1,500.00 dollars for 30,000.00 hull coverage in flight and on the
ground with no deductible. That package also includes $1,000,000.00
liability insurance. My insurance covers only me as the pilot. One
exception is a authorized flight test pilot. Don't have to worry about that
because I do all my own work on Miss P'fer ( P fer plane).
Haven't needed to make a claim since I wiped the gear out from under Miss
P'fer 1 July 2000, Muncho Lake, BC. Glad I had it then. I had AVEMCO. Got
the right adjuster out of Vancouver, BC. He sure was a big help getting the
airplane back to Alabama and getting me the money to rebuild.
Hope Global will support me the same way should the need arise.
Take care,
john h
