<?xml:namespace prefix="v" /><?xml:namespace prefix="o" /><![endif]--> Hello Tex

I think the canopy coating is sprayed on Latex. It is "stretchy" to some degree and just peels off...eventually! I removed about four inches on the inside and outside for masking, but it took a while.

Time and patience........ and lots of it. Also, friends with finger nails helps.

Seriously though, there really is no "quick" fix to removing the Spraylat. Water doesn't help, solvents will damage the canopy and please don't use a heat gun (don't ask why we know!).

We've asked the canopy company to use a thicker coat of Spraylat and in the last 6-12 months it's been much easier to remove. I know that doesn't help Tex but it may be a bit of a relief to the newer customers.

I spent a few hours peeling that stuff off your canopy Rick and still had a lot left when I last flew it.  Hopefully the Arion guys vacuumed it out before giving it to you!  Brian W.
