I sent this to the wrong Zenith list, so I will try again.



 



 I have two wing tanks and no header tank.  I  have a cutoff valve for each tank.  I will take off on a tank as long  as it is over half full.  I switch to the lesser full tank for  cruise.  I land with the fullest tank if one is less than half  full.  Unporting the fuel tank pickup during nose down and especially  a side slip for a crosswind landing is very unlikely.  Only when one tank  has been filled to the brim, will I open both valves to transfer a bit of fuel  to the lesser tank.  Switching in flight both valves are open, but only  momentarily.
