Can any one tell me the reason the plans on page 9-15 call for LP4-3 pop rivets to attach anchor brackets instead of dimpling and using 426AD4-4 flush rivets. Am I missing something?

Yeah, it doesn't make much sense.
Most people don't rivet them, but they actually use screws and locknuts. Apparently it's a b*#%h to attach the trim cable if they're riveted.
I bought the ones from iflyrv10.com and I'm countersinking the back side of them. Then dimpling the door to sit inside the countersinks. At attaching with structural #8 screws. They'll be flush and supposedly it makes the job mush easier when you're rigging the trim cables.

I suspect it's because, many have found GREAT difficulty in attaching
the cover plates to the elevator WITH the cable anchors attached to
them. Many are opting for after market anchor cables (CNC machined) and
attaching then with AN hardware.

I bought the ones from Rivet head and I countersunk them and dimpled the plate but riveted them with flush rivets hopefully I don’t have any problems.
