Alvin,

It is not advisable to replace the throttle springs on the 912.

Although these springs may 'seem' a bit too much, they were spec'd that way in order to guarantee opening of the throttle.

Be default, the 912 is 'wide-open'throttle'.....it is the throttle linkage you install that maintains some setting less than wide open. This arrangement may appear 'backwards' of conventional thinking, but it is simply the method Rotax chose to use.

On at least on 701 I am aware of, these were replaced with 'weaker' versions.
Works real good until you suddenly need to make a go-around and find that you are faced with throttles that open very slowly ( or not at all ) as you manage NOT to clear some obstacle.

It is possible that you may even see a 'first hand account' of this problem on the List.
