I have gotten to the point that I am ready to begin firewall forward work on my S7. The original plans called for an O-200 to be installed. I did not get this part of the instruction manual from the factory with the rest of the info.. I decided to go with a 2276 VW engine. As a result, I have no FWF information at all. This is my first kit-built project so I have little experience to go on. If anyone has any information, i.e. installation instructions/specs. etc. from other engine types that I may find helpful, please send it on. Thanks in advance.

Gary
If you don't already have a copy of Tony Bingelis' Firewall Forward, you
need to buy one today. I bought my copy from Aircraft Spruce. Mr.
Bingelis discusses VW engines and their ignition, charging, and exhaust
systems. There are also informative electrical system diagrams and
various fabrication drawings.

Hi Gary,

Here's a site that deal with VW engines, they have mounts for Kitfox and
Avid etc.

http://www.greatplainsas.com/gpindex.html

Here's a checklist for "firewall forward"(from same site by Tony Bingelis):

Good luck.
