OK I'm at that point. What have you installed or are planing to install in your plane.

I installed a modified version of Aeroelectric Connection Figure Z-1,
which uses a two-buss design with fuses. My plane is single battery and
a Stratus Subaru engine, so it has an external alternator. No magnetos,
so I obviously removed those from the figure. I also included an
overvoltage crowbar available from B&C. I can send you the ExpressSCH
file if it would help.

Gig,
As you probably know by now, you will find as many opinions as people on this often debated topic. The Aeroelectric list on this same Matronics forum has had a lot of discussions on this.
Everything on my 601XL is fuses except for the alternator, flaps, trim and starter (i.e. things with windings) My fuse box hinges under the instrument panel so it is out of the way, yet accessible. Attached is a pic of me accessing the fuse panel.
I used a hybrid of Nucholls's Z-16and Z-20 schematics for an overall design. It has working out well for 32.0 hours of flight so far.
Good luck,

Gig,
I used Klixon circuit breakers for everything. Like Dave mentions above, you will find all sorts of opinions and justifications for fuses and breakers. Both work and I think it comes down to how much you want to spend, 17.00 per circuit breaker or 0.50 a fuse.
