Hey List,
I've completed hand forming the 7R1-1 rudder tip rib, well few of them but I think the latest came out exceptionally well. No real concern of mine but the amount of flange material at the tip was SWAG'd as the plans are not very clear in where to taper off the material from the nose, what do you all think? Only looking for opinions here, ultimately I know the decision resides as my own.
Thanks in advance,

Looks pretty good, the plans are not clear on a number of things like this, while being crystal clear on other things of the same type. Careful of making sharp radii, cracks and the dents made by the fluting pliers. I had way more trouble with the stab tips then the rudder tip and it was due to exactly what you are saying.
Good Luck and remember this is pretty cheap fun building an airplane from scratch, so don't worry about a few remakes!

Thanks for response Kevin, the remakes are anticipated (and cheap) as well as the fun. The fluting pliers were borrowed. I used them to get the material trained then I used the slots in the form block for the remainder. Need to weld up my own as the needle nose type. Thanks for the feedback and vote of confidence, looking forward to the challenge of the stab tips...for now.
