Hi Tim

I am an ex-New Yorker now living (and building) in the Berkshire Mountain region of western Ma. If you are planning on visiting the greater NY metro area, you can really see the city well.
There is a VFR corridor from lower NY habor heading up the Hudosn River overflying the Statue of Liberty with a great view of Manhattan. If you are planning on spending any time in the City (NY that is) Teterboro Airport in New Jersey is a good place to overnight. YOu would need a car to get to New York but the ride is no more than 20 minutes out of rush hour. I live in Monterey Ma which is about 40 minutes (RV10 wise) from NYC with a nice little country airport, GBR, available with fuel and service. The Colors are great in New England so a stop off is recommended. If you need a place to stay with your family, our home is open to your and yours. You can look take a peek at my 10 project if you decide to stay the night. Boston is less than an hour flight due east. There are several GA aiports in the Boston area for you to lay over at.
