The 9th New Zealand based Europa to fly
After 11......and a bit years Europa #355 took to the air from Tauranga NZ on the 24th of October for a 40 minute first flight.
She flew well, basic stall at 48kts wings level, 38kts with flap gear and power and an accompanying left wing drop, envelope to be explored
Temps and pressures all good

Well worth the effort and a special thanks to all those that assisted with advice and help

Gavin Lee

Congratulations! I have yet to experience your joy. May I ask, are those warp drive blades on your prop.

Congratulations Gavin,

Always a great moment. I hope you have many years of enjoyment from EPA. Just for the records, could you please confirm who did the first flight, the empty weight and an estimate of the total build hours.

Best regards

well done, it must be very light to stall at 38kts! Not easy to build a
light Europa, it takes discipline as well as skill.

Well done Gavin and I hope you enjoy many hours of that special freedom only flying can offer . . . . . especially when it is in a Europa.

At 10 yrs, there is still hope for me yet I guess ! Getting closer to putting some paint on.

Cheers

GAVIN

My congratulations too - it looks great!
I got mine in 1996 but did a 3yr house job before starting Jan 2001 so I acknowledge you have beaten me!
Enjoy while I work on!
