Hi Buz
Contrary to popular opinion, down here it is bright and sunny and I can see for nautical miles (kilometers) during the day and at night it is dark, is that the same as in the USA? No we do not require a metric compass but it must be a southern hemisphere compass and that means the sun rises in the east goes across the north and sets in the west. Talking of metric compasses, what a great idea, bit like a metric day of ten hours.
Anthony

Absolutely, and a metric watch to go along with your metric calendar.  And speaking of that, other than the Lightning, most other airplanes are so slow they use a calendar instead of an airspeed indicator.
