I have an NACA vent in my rudder and tubing running forward to the overhead panel in the cockpit. I would like to install a couple of overhead vents similar to those in airliners. What have others used and where do you get them?

Jim

I used a couple of aluminum eye ball vents not in same position but the same idea. Pretty sure they came from aircraft spruce.

Jim,

I have installed these in the same setup that you have. http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/appages/alumeyeball.php

My vent tube from the rear connected to an open space in the overhead just behind my head and I installed two of these vents....one for me and the other for my passenger.

The RV guys use the one's available from Stein Air (www.steinair.com). Supposedly much stronger construction, better seals and low friction wear surfaces. But also kinda expensive.

Jim,

From experience, ACS air vents are either cheap plastic ones which are not good quality and fail quickly or very expensive aluminum ones. Another source is SteinAir. http://www.steinair.com/eyeballvents.htm
They sell high quality aluminum vents at a more reasonable price.
Hope that helps
