The SYI guys will have to answer that question, but as to your "written" Russian, my ex- US intelligence agent daughter who is a current intelligence contractor for CIA, DIA, NSA, etc., says that the above is not Cyrillic and that whoever wrote it is a "durok".

Hi Brian,
She had no problem reading it the way you sent it the second time. She wrote a long reply in long hand Cyrillic but of course I have no way to write it on my computer. She is fluent in Russian (a few other languages as well) and actually lived in Russia for six months. Some time I will have to tell you the story of when I finally went over to visit her. When she was first over there I had a travel restriction bases on some of the clearances I had in the AF and could not travel to certain countries. Later the State Department removed my travel restriction and I was able to go visit. While I was standing in the middle of Red Square with a very high Russian government official I had an interesting thought about "here I am, standing in the middle of ground zero". I hope the "balloon" doesn't go up while I am here.
I think it is great that you are taking Russian. It just might lead to a job with our team at Star City. One of my old NASA buddies spends lots of time over there.
