Gang,

We are just a few orders short to run the second set of pedal brackets for
the CJ...order now so you can have them by Christmas...or have your wife
order them. I'm sure more toys for your airplane is first on her list of
things to get you anyway. Wink

We've started in on the Yak rudder pedal mod. It is only slightly
different than the CJ bracket due to the difference in throw and the spar
to contend with. We should have the prototype soon. I'll keep you
posted.

Also, we have the first production set of 31 gallon aluminum tanks
completed and the installation is 95% done. It's been a process to get the
tanks where we want them, but it's looking very good now. We're working
on installations in 3 aircraft concurrently, so we should be pretty smart
on these things soon. You can email me off line for photos.

We have contracted with LP Aero for our Malcom Hood front and exclusive
one piece rear. They have been great to work with and their UV reducing
plastic is a great idea for our "green house" cockpits to protect the
interior and keep you from getting sunburned and overheated on those long
cross countries.

Finally, we are the exclusive distributor for the Aircraft Exhaust systems
stainless steel slip joint exhaust system for the Housai engine. The slip
joint system makes for easier installation, no clamps (which leak and
loosen, which means more CO in the cockpit). They have 3" extensions on
them as well to reduce CO levels.

Please contact me us at info(at)worldwidewarbirds.com if you would like
further information or to place an order.

Thanks,

Barry

Gill,

As a long time YAK List dweller, my opinion is that new products and services announcement are legit and very much of interest to our group - this list provide Current information about the CJ/Yak world. Where else can we find out about new products/services etc. Regular/frequest advertising on this List is another matter. I don't think Barry is doing that.

As a User testimonial, I stand 6'3" and 240lbs, occasionally serve as a
GIB in Hal Morley's #8 (Chinese Yak). I was involved in the removal of
the old corroded factory pedals and installation of the shiny new ones.
I have 23+ flight hours on the retrofit operation. I can give the Good,
the Bad, the Ugly along with my final Grin assessment. If anyone wants
a testimonial before christmas '08, or would like me to talk to your
wife, please contact me at the offline email in the header above. If
she is a Trophy Wife, I can offer my cellphone and can Jump on the
airline at a moment's notice.

I have no connection with the Marketing of this product.

Geeze Gil, I didn't hear any outcry from you when we (include me here) were touting the benefits of your fuel cell mod.........or would you prefer to read about rather we should have to wear flight suits at RPA functions or not, or who can and who should not do missing man formations, or maybe watch a video of some guy getting shot in the guts by his kid, is that more in line with what you feel the list is for? No complints from you on those topics. Christ man, What you did with your fuel cells and what Barry is doing IS what this list is all about.  Getting the word out about mods and improvements is very important to the community at large. I have asked the group on several occasions about rather or not they wanted to see my postings about this type of subject and the only one nay sayer was the sharp spoken gentleman from Ohio who is no longer in the Yak/CJ community. Most all replied that if they didn't have an interest they would simply exercise their god given right to delete, you can do the same. As in the past YMMV.

John,

That's a great testimonial which does belongs on the YAK List. I just don't
think taking orders and using the list as a customer communication venue is
right. Perhaps I too should alert everyone on the YAK List that I provide
fuel cells for both the YAK52's and CJ's. There are 30 CJ installations and
6 YAK installations without a problem.

I'm on the YAK List because it keeps me informed issues fellow owners are
encountering.

Doug,

You sell more stuff for CJ than anyone else. I have always seen you respond questions as you should and not advertise.

Guys,

Thanks for the support. Gil, thanks for validating our product. Wink

This list is about sharing information, innovation, troubleshooting, hangar stories, lies, safety, politics (aviation related, of course), and MM lore, amongst many others.

I'll do my best to keep CJ and Yak drivers informed of products and services we offer to the community.

Regards,

Barry

Doug,

Make sure you tell the poor man what you REALLY think.

Adding another vote to the list.... I would rather see stuff like this,
even if it is FLAGRANT ADVERTISING (which this was NOT) than to read one
more word about MMF's MMO, FS's, Parachutes, Formation Flight (of any
freaking kind), or RPA issues.

There, now I have gone and done it (AGAIN)! Well... Let me take that
back. I always love hearing more good stories about Marvel Mystery Oil,
simply because it smells so darn good! Real men splash it on their
Flight Suits (FS's) before attending RPA functions, try to avoid the
parachutes though.

To be SPECIFIC:

1. I would like to see an article written by Bill Blackwell on his M-14
engine piston and cylinder conversion package.
2. I would like to see an article on spark plug wire conversion kits.
All of them.
3. Info on where 50 drivers are currently getting chevron (and other)
seals for their landing gear actuators.
4. A report by Tom Johnson on the FW-190 prop he has on his 50 and how
it is holding up and a report on performance.
5. Knowledge on hyd. Brake conversions for any of the YAK or CJ models.

6. Discussion on how to replace the DNP-200 Combined Device without
performing the $1000 ++ B&C Alternator mod. If you own a YAK, you
better start thinking about this!
7. Etc.

Mark:

Those are excellent suggestions on topics. I'm sure we'll see some of them covered in the RPA Red Alert in the future.

Gill I have your cells in N39YK and think they are the greatest thing since
sliced bread. At Osh you told me of the improvements to the cells. I cant
remember what you told me. This is whwre you should post your products so
every one in the community can have the oportunity to improve their aircraft
with the things available. Some of us dont have the ability or incolinaction
to spend hours surfinf the internet to get
info. That is what the YAK List is for. Please send info on your latest fue
cell design for the CJ.

I could not agree more Forrest.

Gill, possibly arguing the cost with individual buyers might not be
within the realm of what this list is for (like I should talk anyway),
but speaking for myself, I have absolutely NO PROBLEM with any
professional seller in the YAK or CJ fraternity letting people know of
the general or specific products they sell ON THIS LIST, possibly with a
reminder to contact them OFF list for prices, orders, or delivery
issues. Doug Sapp has done this and I am very very glad he has, as he
has saved me a lot of effort looking elsewhere, PLUS, I feel we should
support one of our own whenever possible. Yourself included!

Making people aware of what is out there, even if you are the one that
MADE it available in the first place, is totally different than the
definition of what a "customer communication venue" is defined as. Ok,
well... Maybe it really could be defined as a "communication venue" but
you know what? INTENT counts for something too, and I have met VERY
VERY few people on this list that did not have good intent at heart.
Certainly 100% of those currently participating.
