Subject: Flying to the Monroe Airport Air Show
Some have expressed interest in flying to the Monroe Air Show.
Visitors can fly to EQY for the air show this week end. But, the runway will be closed from12:00 noon to 5:00pm each day. You should plan to get there well before noon. Parking for aircraft will be crowded. So it will probably be first in, last out.
It will be NOTAMEDed as closed, but there will be an "Air Boss" on the field and the UNICOM will give you his frequency and he will clear traffic for arrivals and departures in-between the times that the Air Show Performers are practicing
