To all  with Grand Rapids Technologies EFIS products or those thinking of purchasing  one.

  

 Attached (hopefully) is a flyer for a GRT EFIS seminar being held 6 Dec  at Flying Cloud Airport in MN. Cost is $100.00/person.

  

 If  you've ever wanted to get more out of your EFIS now's the chance to learn from  the manufacturer experts. For more information call Bev Cooper at 952  944-2628

 Great idea, Mark, but who the heck wants to go to Minnesota in the winter  time.  I wonder if they would come to SYI if we could get 8 or 10 guys  signed up?  Or maybe Ben, Nick, Pete and you could put on a class that  would be just as informative?

 See if you can talk them into doing this at SYI. MN is a little far for me  for a one day seminar.

Okay,  the messenger has been shot enough! <grin> I'm well aware of how cold it  is in MN, why do you think I'm not going!! (Actually it's Clare's birthday that  weekend)

  

 Our  Jabiru dealer in MN put this together to help his customers and possibly attract  new customers by helping them get over their "concerns" of glass panels. He  asked me to help spread the word so I did. I will tell you though, when he  mentioned it to me this weekend my first thought was "holy crap, it's cold  in Minnesota in December!!!"

It really isn’t that cold up north that time of year, heck I rode the motorcycle to our old hanger on several occasions in December…….14 layers of cloths but not to bad! No I did not have studded tires.

 Hi Mark,

     No intent to shoot the messenger, but I think the  overall idea of a EFIS seminar at SYI, similar to your engine class, would be a  great service to your customers.  I hope you guys will consider that.   I know I could certainly use some "training" - to better use all the info that  can be displayed (especially the record mode), and how to compensate for  such things as altimeter error.  Heck, I know that "thing" has lots of  capabilities that I am not even aware of - and I love using the synthetic  approach mode to impress other pilots.

 PS:  How you doing on your project?  The chapter XL now has about  200 hours.  If you want some time before you make your first flight, I can  set that up.
