Greetings everyone,
I'm new to this list, and I'm posting a project for sale that is owned by my friend. He has his other aluminum aircraft project about done but unfortunately he will not be able to complete either project, so I've offered to help him sell it. It's already posted on Barnstormers.
The project includes the glued fuselage without foam core or covering, tail feathers glued, filled, and ready for cover. 3 disassembled Corvair engines (I've checked 2 of the cranks, which are standard), engine mount and brand new propeller hub for the Corvair crank. There is all of the clear Sitka spruce required to finish the project, a 4'x8' sheet of foam, epoxy, quite a number of sheets of plywood, including a couple of 4'x4' 1/16" 3ply, which I think is aircraft grade birch. Drawing package, etc. etc.
I'm writing this partly from memory and partly what the owner has told me, but I can send some of the photos I've taken, and I can take lots more, plus do any measuring and info gathering your might need. My friend is a straight shooter and his workmanship looked good to me on both of his aircraft projects. I'll do what I can to help him sell his project.
I'm not a homebuilder, but I maintained my own Pitts for a number of years, and now a Christen Eagle, so I should be able to help anyone out with info. We live in western Canada, just south of Calgary AB. My friend is asking CDN $5000 for the project, which works out to about US $4000 at our present exchange rate. FMI please contact me at flyhigh (at) agt.net
