Hay does anybody have advice? To a new Aviator from Australia getting back into flying after twenty years.

I am thinking of Buying a Kitfox 4 and returning to BC with it.

Should I go to the problem of de-registering it from its N no. Or just Keep it registered and returning to the US for servicing? Periodically.

Is this possible/ or practical.

Doe this happen. I see N no. aircraft at airfield's in BC.

I am open to suggestions.

Hi Simon;

You can import a finished Kitfox into Canada provided it has at least 100 hrs flying time on it. If the kit is not finished it should be at the pre cover stage. As for flying an aircraft with an N number in Canada, it is legal to fly providing you have insurance etc. however if the aircraft is here more than 6 months (I believe) you must register it and, if necessary pay duty and tax.

If any other "Canuck" Kitfox folks can expand on this I'd appreciate it.

Cheers
