I’m planning to purchase an angle drill attachment for getting into tight spaces. I noticed that there are the “regular” right-angle drill attachments, and then there are snake right-angle drill attachments available as well. Has anyone used both a “regular” right-angle drill attachment and a snake right-angle drill attachment, and if so, which do you prefer? [quote][b]

I used the heck out of a right angle drill attachment from "Tight Fit Tools". It has threaded drill shanks and a variety of drill bits. Obviously, the real short ones are the most useful in tight places The only drawback is that you have to hold the shaft with one hand to keep it from spinning and the angle part with the other hand to guide the drill. That is sometimes awkward, but I seem to have overcome it. Their web site: http://tight-fit-tools.stores.yahoo.net/

Dave, I have both the Snake angle drill and the normal angle drill. In all honesty except for a very few rare cercumstances where the snake drill has saved my bacon, it has been pretty much useless. Angle drills have a clutch built into them that needs a certain amount of pressure on them to opporate and my US Tools snake drill is very challenging to use.
