Nigel and all,
The distance from the front right face of the instrument panel on G-JULZ is in the region of 308mm.
From the front face of the instrument panel to the deepest part of the 328 (back of the coax plug) is 300mm. My instrument panel fits straight to the bulkhead, I don’t have any spacers.
The SL30 uses all the space available... you might be able to fit a cigarette paper between the coax plug and the bulkhead - not much more.
A point worth of note is that the deepest part of the 328 is on the right side, which is where the coax plug is. Because the radio stack part of the Europa instrument panel is inclined towards the pilot, the depth available for any radio equipment is greater on the right side than the left. This is different to the SL70, where the coax plug was on the left. Hope this is of some help.
See attached photos.
Regards,
Mike
