Having been to OSH for the last dozen? years (1996-2008) We are considering going to ARO instead. Anybody been there? If so I would like to discuss the best place to camp. Send me a phone and time and I will call you.

I would be interested in hearing thoughts as well. OSH is too far for me now ARO is half the drive and manageable and something I would consider doing if it meant meeting some of those on this list..

Arlington is a nice airshow which we have attend for most of the last 5 years. It is about a quarter to a third of the size of Sun-N-Fun. Because it is within a few weeks of AirVenture a number of vendors don't attend.
Last year we had at least 2 if not 3 RV-10 not including Van's factory planes. Other highlights include a nice night aerobatic show as well as an open air theater that shows aviation movies after dark. There are also some informitive forums.
As for camping C if you are flying-in aircraft camping is available. There is a special section for RV aircraft. As for driving in C here is the link for camping https://www.arlingtonflyin.org/secure/camping/. The White section at the top of the page is closest to the flightline. Row D in the white section is for shorter RVs or tent camping but has the advantage of being elevated above the rows between it and the flight line. Also there are hot showers C food venders and a tram for when your feet get tired.
If you do come bring a FM radio as the airshow is now broadcasted on the air. The weather has varied from very hot (but not humid) to cold and rain C so come prepared.

These were the two I saw there besides 410RV. Axys Air also had one under construction on display.

Attendance was down this last time, both attendees and vendors, so if you can get there, do. It is unfortunate that it is so close to OSH.
