Just a note about your inspections. The only time you would a issue temporary cert. is if the DAR was concerned about the aircraft being ok for unlimited time.
I am a AB-DAR and have completed many inspections in the last few years. I was in the first EAA-FAA AB-DAR class at Oak City and have been back to a refresher coarse every year. Also in the spirit of amateur built and the EAA support I try to keep the fees reasonable.
This being said I don't charge for the inspection, but charge for the paperwork and mileage both to and from the site where the aircraft is hangered.
