I wonder if he flew a RG version of the WT-9 and mistaked it for the Lightning?

Yeah C  I know that he knows Pete and Ben and has somewhat followed the development of the Lightning.  It must be the good looks of the plane that draw people in.  An RG would make a pretty plane but I maintain that the weight C complexity C extra cost would not justify the gains in terms of cruise speed.  Brian W.Windows Live™: Keep your life in sync. Brian and all,



     I wrote Dan to clear up the Lightning R/G SNAFU,  and he responded today saying that it was faulty memory on his part.   His response is below.  Thank goodness it was not my April Fool's jest  about the Lightning R/G that had led him astray. Thanks for correcting my faulty memory.  Geez, whereâ€™d I get that? No, your April Foolâ€™s humor didnâ€™t snag  me.



Anyway, the web post has been corrected and Iâ€™m grateful. Once a  month, these stories are repackaged for use in aviation print magazines with  another 100,000 readers so I want them correct.
