Has anyone had good luck with an LED alternate to the the Zenith lighting kit? Whether you created your own or bought an off the shelf product I'd be interested to hear about it.
My 801 tail kit has not arrived yet so I don't have the plans. Where did you guys run the wires through the Rudder? Did you use grommets or another method? I'm thinking I could drill the holes and then run the wire or a string as I build the rudder and then complete the lighting at a later date.
Thanks in advance.
Jake

Zenith is offering an LED option from AVEO.
This is what is on the yellow factory 750 and Roger likes them very much.

Thanks Ken, I'll take a look at those lights.
I just found the Tail Kit assembly manual on the Zenith website. On the exploded view it appears like the holes for the wires are pre-drilled. Does anyone know the gauge of the wire the Zenith tail light uses? Thanks.

Hi Jake,
Have you seen the LED combination wingtip position light/strobes by Aveo Engineering? Slick! They draw almost no current, and are incredibly visible.
best,
Cory

Ken:
Try www.KEsrobes.com (Kunzlman Electronics) His lights are very lite and draw very little power.

Good afternoon Jake, I am just busy attaching mine to the rudder skin, the wire is 16 guage. It comes in rolled in a 6ft length which needs to be cut in half.
Regards
