Noel and the rest of you thanks for your replies. I took the rectifier off yesterday and checked the connections. I did find some slight corrosion so I cleaned it with contact cleaner and reinstalled the unit.It now appears to be working correctly . My traffic alerter is working too because as I had my eyes inside the aircraft checking the voltage from 3 sources (alerter,Westach volt gauge and GPS) I received a "Trafic,Traffic,Traffic" warning and there 200ft above me and at less than1/2 mile was a T-34C that flew into the picture.That was a good test of that unit I just installed!
