Dick C WOW! C I see the gap in the picture outside. You must have painted the gap seal material to match the planes paint job. I'm impressed C because I really can't see the gap seal material on the picture inside the hanger. So you still have a gap. But C it is very small? You going to fly that plane to Oshkosh this year?

Thanks for the complement on my TR3. The gap seal on my rudder is a vertical piece of contoured foam that I covered with 6 inch Polyfiber tape and painted. If you look at the picture C the hinge areas were not covered so that I would have access to the hinge bolts. Previously that entire area between the vertical stab and rudder was about a 2 inch gap. The contoured foam is  available from John McBean. I epoxied it to the trailing edge of the vertical stab. The aircraft was already painted but I could not stand to look at that huge gap so I had to do it. I have enclosed a picture of a taped temporary rudder gap seal I tried (looked horrible) and it shows the old gap a little better.
