Hi:

I just got my brand new Altrak unit. the question is, on installation,
is any way to install this, without having to drill out the rivets from
the floor rib...?On the prints looks like one has to remove at least three rivets, on top and 3 at the bottom, on the floor?

If this is not done, the plate tha holds the unit, will not set flush
against the rib...I guess I want to get out of that job, it may not
be as hard as my mind is telling me.

Appreciate comments and suggestions, for those already with their
unit in operation..

I have a different TT model, but the install might be similar. Wasn't that hard. Took a second set of hands to drive some of the rivets, but not difficult.

Thanks Larry: I saw your web page also, very nice work, when you see this, one think
if I could do it again...

Any how I* finished, the basic installation today, I decided to use bolts, and nuts..
of course wire safetyed.. I learned long ago, if you install something, if at all possible
make it removable...I learned that thru another builder friend....I wish I had done
that from the beginning, the amount of work I could have saved... tha tis why the
second projects are really as pleasure, too late for me..

NOw is the hard part, for me as I am the worst when it comes to electrical....
one question larry, Am I correct that only two wires will be all I need,, talking,
I will not have V.S, or coupled to the GPS..I dread to do the soldering on those
samall pins....Can I ground the servo and programer, right next to them, with wires
to the rib?

Any suggestions, Thanks

I'm not sure. I want to say I ran my ground in the old plane all the way forward to the main ground block, but I think I've seen another plane that used a local ground. Both worked fine. Not sure about the number of wires. I can't download the wiring diagram for some reason. Not sure if it's me or TT's site. Anyway, I'd let the TT be your guide:

Hi:

I want to know if some one knows where I can have the harness made
for the altrak, alt. holder.. unit..

I have seeing some places on the list, but they want $100 dollars, and more,
that is too much for me...I feel that $50.00 would be a reasonable
figure...

If any one has some ideas let me know. Other wise I will do it,
even if I am terrible on electrical work...

thanks
