Hi Thrush Driver Dan,
Thanks so much for the update on your search for the Thrush!
It is really good for us 'Downunder' folk to be looped in on the meanderings of you and the Grand Poopah..we love receiving ANNOUNCEMENTS!
I wondered though whether the issues of a wheel chock being left in front of the right hand gear and a life-size lump of poo, were properly discussed during your time together and finally 'put to bed'!
It is really pleasing to know that retirement has lead you to the opportunity to squarely consider 'straight' marriage and that you have an outcome!!

Capt'n:
Any idea when our fly in will be this fall? (Hint, Hint, John Towner and I
are pushing for RNO during the air races).
Also, is anyone out there considering "the other Commander" get together May
6th? Although it is primarily for kerosene burners they have always been
nice to me.
Haven't been since it was held in Ft. Lauderdale a few years ago. At that
time I abandoned 680RR in Pensacola and drove the remainder of the trip in a
renta-rocket to avoid the embarrassment of being tied down next to big
commanders with half of my paint job missing. My cover story was that there
was a terrible line of thunderstorms between Pensacola and Lauderdale.
Unfortunately, Stan and Bob Perkins blew my cover story by flying in from
Southern California also. This year I have changed strategies. Just
yesterday, I went to Lowes and purchased four rattle cans of refrigerator
white paint, and if the wind ever gets below 30 knots here on the high mesa
where I am tied down proper repairs will be made.
Should I decide to go my much coveted Golden Pedal Award will be proudly
displayed on the glare shield of N680RR.

Hi all,
My dad and I are planning to go to the "other" fly-in in May, and Moe, since
you and I will now be flying in from opposite directions, I promise not to
contradict any of the stories you tell!
As far as the fall fly-in, I vote for RNO as well.

Yes, I will be I Scottsdale and I want invite all our members to attend. We have a personal invitation from both Mark Twombly, TCAC spoksman and Jim Mathison, the outgoing owner. The new owners will be there of course and we, the piston owners, are invited. We can all register at the TCAC web site (www.wincommander.com). They want to hear from us. What our concerns a piston owners are. They also want to talk to anyone who has flown a long or unusual trip in piston Commander for a possible spot on the speakers list. lets have a good showing for the new owners and to saw goodbye to a good friend, Jim Mathison. jb
