For any that may visit, a little heads up.
There have been some changes around Nauga Field.
1) Ronnie has run a new H2O line. The camp is now on parish (county) water. No more high mineral well H2O. There is a little bit of settling still going on which is creating a nose over hazard as you turn off the runway to parking. I'm filling it as it settles.
2) Also been doing some logging. This has left the powerline on the SE end seriously exposed and a hazard to those that are unaware. I'm working on getting some markers for the powerlines. May be a little while to get them up. See picture.
3) Armadillo has had his way with the runway and left a bunch of divots. He has been dealt with. See picture.
4) This winter beavers built a dam which has slowed the already poor drainage. Field is soft. One beaver now a pelt and dam is currently burning.
Call if you plan on visiting for updated information.

I know many pilots and a few true aviators. There is a distinct difference that I have the greatest respect for. |

Sounds great.
I know you wish that damn power line was out of there. Looks high enough to
land under it now that those tall trees are gone. Really opened up that
area.
Water sounds good. Can we take a shower at the cabin now instead of the
fire house?

Boy these guys are getting soft. Next they will want "hot" water for
their shower, then bunks in a building, followed by mattresses,
coffee each morning, and finally a little golf cart to haul them out
to their little airplanes.

We have all the rest of that stuff already. Actually, the ATV ride to the
fire house was the only inconvenience we had to endure during the last two
Nauga Flyins.
We'll be living high on the hog this year.
