I never heard of a Thrush rash just the bird.
Some year I hope the meeting will be in Vancouver, Canada, no excessive temperatures here, green grass year round.

Well, Cap't Dan, that is not exactly like I remember it!! Seems we were doing right fine, I was ensuring a safe and comfortable trip while flying from the right seat. All went well until center gave us a heading to a radial then a DME fix , then cleared us direct to our destination and then asked us for a position report. I calmly asked Capt Dan if he might find time in his busy schedule to call up the new VOR frq and place it in the G530 while I flew the plane, climbed to the new altitude, turned to the new heading, dead recon navigated, adjusted the heater (he was to hot), checked for ice, relayed on the radio and took a sip from my diet coke. It seemed like an eternity but I know it could not have taken Capt Dan more that 35 or 40 minutes to break the code on his easy to use G530 and set in the new freq. Of course by the time he had skillfully accomplished this arduous task, I had flown the aforementioned 90 nautical miles, via dead reckoning, and we were at the turn point. I estimated we were about 45 feet to the left of course and 3 feet high in altitude.
Now, for a future plans to marry and move to the north country. The answer is no Dan, I said it then and I say it again, no. The only thing I found worth while was the chili at the "chili fest" in the motel on the way home. (Imagine if you will, spending the night in a room with capt Dan after we had consumed a total of 14 bowls of chili).
As we "defarted" the next morning, there was no need to "gas" the plane. It gave new meaning to flying an airplane with a "combustion" heater. Capt Dans 500B performed great but it was nearly impossible to keep the airplane right side up in the turbulence so the eybrow windows came im right handy!!. All in all it was a fun trip!!
