Well....the Obama budget replaces almost half of the FAAs funding with "direct user fees: and removes excise taxes.  I spoke with a pilot from Germany at a CAP Check Pilot School this weekend.  In Germany, they collect $10 every time the wheels touch the ground.  Don't land and they charge a "handling fee."  AOPA and EAA will be our vioce in this matter.  If you aren't a member, now is the time to be one.

Germany is cheap....every time I put my Yak52 on the ground at my home field

EHSE in Holland, I pay $ 26,--, t&g's are cheaper.....$18,--. In addition we

pay a huge amount of excise on gas (>70% of selling price)



But the big difference between Holland and the US is that you have a federal

law which, as I understand it, says that any taxes received from GA has to

be spend in GA again...with us it goes in a black hole called the government

in The Hague and we know where that ends up......



Looks like moving to the States won't help in the foreseeable future....

Or shift to Ashburton New Zealand - No landing fees !! 1 hour to Wanaka by Yak 52 - Buy your own hangar for US$15,000. Double your US dollars when you change to NZ dollars.

 You can fly the full length of the country with no restrictions as long as you have a 406 ELB and transponder.  Its not too bad here.

Can you fit another 50 million on that Rock? Did you guys give into the international ban on guns propogated by the UN?  I know the Aussies did.   

If so may have to stay here in the US and get ready for the next Revolution.

No - We haven't got room for too many - but anyone with a Yak or P51 would be made welcome.

 We don't carry guns - just use them for shooting Deer, rabbits & ducks.

 Our Airforce is equipped with a few Hercs Orions & Hueys. So any Warbirds could be useful ????
