Recently, I had a fuel leak fixed (fitting on pilot side) that
required the seat to be removed. My mechanic corrected the issue and
off I went. First, I noticed the seat does not "feel" right and upon
further inspection, I found that the seat is "sitting back/reclined
slightly". When I get out and slide the seat full back, it is
upright and rigid. If I move it full forward, I can move (translate
rock) the front part of the seat up and down about 1/2 inch. Doesn't
do it when slid back all the way.
My mechanic says thats how it was when it was removed. I disagree as
I have flown it more than 150 hours since I bought the plane and my
(blank) knows what feels right with respect to sitting in it.
Any ideas. What could be the issue here? Im not a mechaninc so I am
not really planning on removing the seats, all so much as Id like to.

Sounds like something wasn't put back together properly. Possibly the
clevis bolts are not installed in the bearing race or the bracket on the
spar is loose.
