You will get the hang of it Bob.
I'll never forget the wise words of an Australian instructor: "It's just like riding a bycycle". And while i never flew with the guy and landing has nothing to do with riding a bike, those words helped me more then many hours of training. The funny concidence is that you have to react before falling (over). You have to feel what's happening. You already have all the rest of the good advice...

Hi Fred,
I am happy with the long wings in most respects, we get almost 26:1 glide ratio and decent minimum sink. The handling is pleasantly light compared to the Katana Extreme MG I trained in. We are getting a 130 KTAS cruise at 5.3 gph, which is not a lot less than with the short wings. My only complaint is with the air brakes, they just don't have enough authority.
