Bob,
Those tanks have never been tested structurally and there are several issues with the install IMHO… not to mention weight of the install.

Hi John, thanks for jumping in on this,
Checking your parts catalogue on page 54 I see that you only have 6 gallon tanks for my model II for $440 each. My reason for perusing the wingtanks.com tanks was that I would gain 13 gallons, which is important to me; and apparently I would not be removing any struts, only a couple of drag / anti-drag tubes which look pretty weak anyway. From the pictures on their cob-website it looks like a piece of plywood more than makes up for any torsional loss from those tubes but I was hoping to exchange a few emails with them on that topic.
However, since they don't respond - I assume your 6 gallon model II tanks also fit between struts? Has anyone ever installed two 6 gallon tanks in one wing and/or can it be done?

Bob, I see a 13 gal for the model II on page 54. It is the same price $440.

Well spotted Ryan! I didn't look further down when I saw the "Model
4,5,6,etc". Obviously the larger tank will require removing structure,
especially a strut, but John McB seemed to imply that his tanks are
structurally designed and tested to do that. Hopefully he will add to this
thread to support that, in which case it may be my best option.
Has anyone else installed John's 13 gal tank in a finished Model II yet?
