List,
Trying to determine where to place Rudder and Elevator turnbuckles. Plans location is nearly impossible to safe tie. Some have placed them outside the tail at rear, some placed them at rear under the saddle...again difficult to get to.
Putting them in center console (elevator) is almost impossible to get hands down to. Likewise, off the pedals (rudder) would require a gymnist to safetie.
Thinking maybe just above trap door access in bottom. ???????????
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Mike

Hi Mike,
I placed the turnbuckles for the rudder cables just in front of the
rudder so they are easy to access/safety wire.
For the elevator I placed them above the access panel in the bottom of
the fuse as you mention.
Both these locations are relatively easy to get to and seem to be
working OK so far.

Mike,
I did place my rudder turnbuckles near the rudder control horn, outside the fuselage. They are very easy to access for safety wiring there. I placed the upper elevator turnbuckle under the saddle. I fastened the saddle with screws into angles riveted to the stabilizer to make the saddle removable, and the turnbuckle accessible. I put the turnbuckle for the lower elevator horn inside the arm tunnel, where it is on top and easily accessible.
