The info is pretty slim on the installation of the Vetterman dual stack system.

Vans plans say to torque the exhaust nuts to 100-140 in/lbs
Vetterman's sheet says to torque the nuts to 140-180 in/lbs

Any idea which is preferred?????

Also Vans says to use anti-seize on the nuts. Any suggestions for what this product is ..........???????

Antiseize keeps the nuts from becoming permanently corroded to the exhaust studs. Look at Permatex 133A and similar products.

Two Loctite products that we use are C5-A which is Loctite #51005, Copper based Anti-Seize Lubricant (good to 980 C / 1800F) and then for our turbine hot sections we resort to overkill with Loctite #51102, Nickel Anti-Seize (good to 1315C / 2400F). If you like to look for cheaper Milspec alternatives it is MIL-PRF-907-E.

It is always a good call to use nuts rated to the additional heat of a head flange or collector attachment. I vote for the second and higher torques listed cause I seem to remember a hardware improvement over stock configuration.

Larry at Vetterman informed me that the bolt that he supplies with the exhaust kit are stainless steel and have a higher torque value than the Vans bolts. He said torque to about 150# is fine. With the SS bolts he said the anti seize is not needed
