HI:



I have installed a second radio, one of the questions is, I do not

have side tone, I believe I cannot transmitt..

When pushing the PTT buttom on the stick, it show the icon, tx..OK.  I

have not tried, to confirm this, but I am sure that I should

have side tone if is to transmitt.



Any one with some experience on this, can give me some suggestions on

checking this?

First thought is a connection to the intercom, or lack there of.  Do a test xmit to another radio (handheld, another plane, fbo).  If that works, probably an intercom connection.

I have no side tone when I turn off the intercom in my plane and I only have one radio.  It seems to be transmitting ok.  I just can't hear it.

I would also suspect your intercom or connections.  Dig out the schematics.

the side tone on my radio sl30 is selected in the set up it is either on or  off.

 look for that selection.
