I have the AFS3500 EGT kit. Any suggestions or better yet pictures of the final installed position of the sensors?
I was told to install 2" out from the flange on the engine. I am worried about the clocking so that the wire ends do not interfere with the cowling.
Any suggestions, comments and pictures appreciated

One other thing u have to be careful with is the plug removal, install them
as to be able to install and remove the spark plugs. Contact me off list
and I can tell you how I did my Saratoga.

Make sure as you set them up you also have your plugs and wires in
place so you don't interfere there. If you do that and then clock
them as low profile as possible you should be ok.

Mike;
How soon do you need pics.? I have the same setup. I can pull the
cowling this weekend and take a few pics if that would help.

Can't remember exactly what distance was recommended (2"-4"?), but I believe the critical element is to make them all the same. I think mine are 3"... Make sure you measure the inside radius of the pipe and make a mark, and then the outside of the radius of the pipe and make another mark. Then figure where the sensor needs to be to clear everything (plugs, wires, etc), and then draw a line between those tow marks. I kept mine to the inside thus avoiding the cowl problem.

Do you ( or anyone else) have a photo of the area about 6" under the pictures you sent? I'm trying to figure out the best routing for the fuel line from the mechanical fuel pump to the Bendix servo to get it away from the exhaust.
Thanks C

Vern,Here is a front view from the front. There is a right angle fitting at the fuel servo and the line runs along side it back to the fuel pump. The DAR suggested and helped me attach the scat tubing to the fuel line for the same reason. Get it away from the exhaust.Jim CombsN312F - Flying (50+ hours)40192-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Jim,Do you ( or anyone else) have a photo of the area about 6" under thepictures you sent? Jim,
I noticed that you have a straight (flat) mixture arm in your photos.
I had one like that and couldn't get it to fit with the air filter
box. I had to buy the dogleg version as shown in the plans. Have you
fitted the airbox yet?
