I have a new 100 hp 912 uls and it came with wiring to the oil pressure switch. The older engines only had one wire and the new engines now have 3 wires (black, white and red). The black is cut off and appears they are only using the Red and White.
The wiring diagrams I have do not show how to wire the new 2 wire set up to the oil pressure gage. I could guess at it but prefer not to. If I had to guess, red would go to the "S" post and the white would be added to the "-" gnd post.
Has anyone else encountered this?
Thanks
Mike H

Rotax apparently no longer use the old VDO sender and now use a Honeywell sender with red/white/black - not used/shield.
I have bought a UMA 1 1/4" gauge to match sender. White - signal/ Red - 14 volts/ Shield - to ground at the gauge.
Waiting for fuselage coming back from spraying!!!!! to fit!!!!
Regards Dave

Thanks Dave,
I guess I now need to decide if I should replace the sender with the old VDO style or try and find a gage that matches my others.
Thanks again,
Mike H

Hi Mike,
Be careful of the desire to have style replace safety.
The old VDO sender was a dog which is why it was switched, big
mass on a moment arm, none too accurate either.
Best of luck with the gauge

Thanks Ira, I ordered a new sender for now. Ill change it out later when I find a gage that works out. I didn't realize the old gage was a problem.

Honey well sensor does not work on the VDO gauge.
Get the Road electronic gauge Rotax part number 956413.
