Hi all,

The bungee cords on my Mono have been installed for 4 years, and are probably 10 years old from date of manufacture.  I was thinking of installing new ones while I have the engine off.  I was was wondering if anyone happened to know what equivalent the part number from Aircraft Spruce or Wicks would be for the same cord.

Yes, I could buy them from Europa, but it doesn't seem to make much sense having it shipped from the UK, particularly since it was probably shipped to Europa from the US in the first place.

Thanks,  Paul

When I have changed my bungee chords, I have bought it from a shipchandler, they have a good choice, same quality, and that works very well, for 2 years, (I made 1 loop more)

Hi Paul,
I just changed the bungees on my tri-gear on Friday, using the Kevin Pilcher style loops, and suffered only minor damage to my hands and arms.

I think you will find that the A/S 5/16" shock cord is what you need, p/n06-12300, this has a blue stripe and seems stiffer than the bungee supplied with the kit
The 3/8" has a pink stripe and is very stiff, both cords measure more than indicated, the 3/8 seems to be 1/2".

Hi Dave,

Thank you for your timely post.  I measured my stuff (which has a blue stripe) and it came out at 3/8" so I was about to purchase 3/8 shock cord from ACS.  From what your telling me it looks like I need to buy the 5/16.

Thanks,  Paul
