I'd like to meet the genius who designed, or, better yet, approved the
design of the roll servo mount. Or Both. Genius. Sheer Genius.
Forward Mount: The factory mounting holes are 3.6 inches apart. S-Tec
chose 3.5 inch spacing. So, the installer is either crowds out both
holes, drills both holes to 1/4 inch, or picks one and drills the other
to fit.
Aft Mount: The factory mount has 4 holes. The S-Tec mount has 4
holes. However, if you pick one, none of the other holes are in the
right place. If the installer picks the two most obvious holes and
crowds them out to fit, THEN, drills two new holes for the other two,
the two mounts are 1/10 of an inch too close together. If the other
two holes are picked, the mount is 3/8 inches to close together.
Truth is, the original mount 'could' be modified to use. S-Tec didn't
need redesign the whole mount.
Bottom line is, there is no way to make the installation clean.
