Hi,

Anyone knows if the magneto high tension lead (insulated 7,5 cm long and 7
mm wide pencil like rod wich connects the high tension coil to the
distributor cap), can be repaired or substituted by a piece of spark plug
wire? Insulation is burnt by arcing and I can't find a spare one. Unless I
buy an overhauled one, but it has only 20 hours since overhaul!

Thanks Dennis,
Is it necessary to solder some kind of "head" on both copper ends?

No. You will see how the end fits into the starting coil when you remove it and the lead into the magneto is the same as all the other spark plug wires.

Are we talking about the internal "cigarette" inside the mag, or the wire going from the starting spark transformer TO the mag?

I'm confused.

Ahhh! I misinterpreted your email. Please do not try to use the 7 mm wire I sent the link to. I do not have a fix for the internal cigarette. Sorry.
