Where can I look online to buy a CH 701?
I want with a Rotax 912S.

How many hours is too much? on the airframe and motor?I want it better with low hrs.

So far I have only seen 3 online and with prices ranging from $30,000 to $40,000.

Will be my first plane, and Im just starting lessons, is this a good first plane?

For a 701, the number one place I would look is barnstormers. www.barnstormers.com .
The second place I would look is the classified ad section on www.zenith.aero .

You are in Costa Rica, yes? What city? I spend a lot of time in San Jose, but I am looking forward to seeing the rest of the country. There was actually a guy selling a CH701 that was based in Costa Rica, but he flew it back up to the U.S.A. to sell it. Good luck on your search.

Thanks , I found some interesting ones in Barnstormers.
I want something with a Rotax 912.

I just thought there would be a lot more for sale.

Im based in San Jose and will fly it from Guapiles.

How many hrs is not too many hrs on the plane and moto

Is this a tricky plane to fly?

Newbie, do not overlook the 80hp 912 if you do not
need that last drop of power for whatever reason.
It is basically the same engine as the 912S but
behaves more nicely, starts easier and is cheaper
both to buy and run.

As regards to flying the 701, it is not the easiest
plane to land but it is tough...

The engine cost is about one third of the total
purchasing price so you can interpolate the price
from 1500 hours down but typically a propeller strike
will necessite an earlier engine change. Rotax has
a reasonable priced (for Rotax) engine exchange program.

Good luck, the 701 might not be the newest airplane
model nor the most beautiful, but for some reason
not many are on the market even if the fleet is
rather big with many hundreds of planes flying,
not including copies. Rgrds, Max
