In the old AVSIG days, with my trusty 286 PC, a "Hot Section" forum was created when the civil discourse became heated. At that point, the offending discussions were moved there so the combatants could duke it out to their heart's content. And the rest of us were spared, unless we wanted to pop some corn and watch for entertainment's sake.

Maybe something like that would work here, where those who needed to vent their spleens, could. And the rest of us wouldn't have to watch.
