Listers,
I am in the market for a Continental O-200 or a Rotax 912ULS
I would appreciate any referrals.
Thanks,

Oh Tommy,
Just get a Corvair!
you know you want too....
once you go Vair, you'll never go back...

Brady, You are probably right.
However, today I made a deal on a used continental O-200 with 223 hrs since major. I am going to pickle it and within the next year I hope to have it on my new project, a CH750.
Actually, my preference was for a Rotax 912ULS, but used ones are still out of my league.
I know the Vair is a great engine and I hear lots of good stuff about them. But the price I paid for the O-200 is actually less than buying a Vair core and rebuilding it.
BTW, I have a daughter who lives in Dupont. Isn't that near you?

I have noticed that too, on occasion. It seems that if you are willing to be patient, really nice deals for engines pop up. For example, I saw a Jab 3300 for $8650 . I WISH I HAD THE CASH! Even if it needed a full overhaul AND I had the factory do it instead of myself, the engine would still only run about $14,650. Thats still $2,000 less than a new one. If I did the rebuild myself, I could have dropped that price by another $3,000.
