Actually there are two Ellipses (??)) Well any way, two of these in Rapid
City. They are being put together by friends of mine in the local EAA
Chapter. Both are expected to fly this summer. They are neat planes, but
very complicated wings - every rib is different. It is my understanding
that when they fly they will triple the size of the fleet.
I will have to check out that article.

When I spoke to Charlie Gibbs, I guess he didn't know about the other two. I saw the wings being put together, partially built. You are right, very complicated. They are covered with wood, but Charlie said if he were to manufacture the plane, he would cover with metal. The one I saw only had one control, I would have to put another in if I were to build. Tempting!! Should be very nice planes.
