Hello Good Builder Folks, a couple weeks ago someone on this list was talking, asking, and maybe working on a balance modification to XL ailerons. I have decided to make that particular modification to accompany my pushrod and rib brace modifications already in place. I have a copy of CH's rough drawing from many years ago taken from the Newsletter of his attempt to balance the aileron. Anybody have more info? Drawings, etc?  If so, please contact me directly off list. No need to concern and worry the other folks on this list. Best regards, Bill of Georgia

Hang in there Bill and anyone else seriously  interested in aileron balancing. The testing done so far all shows that you are  not in any imminent danger so waiting for Zenith isn't totally out of the  question. Mathieu seemed very positive about Zenith developing mass balancers  for the ailerons. Not sure how long that will take but as I said we can safely  wait for it. Then again, I know the "can do" spirit is alive and well out there  so if you don't feel like waiting, have at it! I would be more interested in the  mass balance if it inlcudes aerodynamic balance (spades) so the roll and  pitch sense of the stick would be more equal.

Down Under here Zodiac XL builder Eddie Seve has just this week finished his Aileron Mass Balance and test flown it a couple of times.. He is still in his testing phase.. Check his website. 



Now everyone stop arguing and start building..the sky is not falling.
